Lot 22- This is one of a number of final lots that I am offering for sale. All of these items come from my grandfather’s (Albert F. Balla) collection. He was a major collector of stamps and Christmas seals, and a correspondent to Dr. Rosetta Sherwood Hall - the woman who really instituted the Hospitals and institutions in Korea for the blind, handicapped, and infirmed, including tuberculosis. This lot features a card and envelope from 1934 of Mother and Child painted by Elizabeth Keith as well as a smaller beautiful card. There is a pink card describing the 1938 artist and story. In addition, there is an excellent souvenir pane 1932-1937 commemorating the first 5 years of the Korean Christmas Seals. The single seal has been cut, and repaired, so you may wish to consider it only for decorative purposes. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire this piece of history.
