Korea Christmas Seals VERY RARE 1934 POSTER***

This is a beautiful rare poster from 1934. It depicts the image used on the Christmas Seals in Korea that year. The design is by Elizabeth Keith. At the time Elizabeth Keith was the English artist who painted this picture, and she was the guest of Rosetta Sherwood Hall at the East Gate at the time of making the work. The poster measures 17 3/4 x 15 inches (45cm x 38cm). It comes from the collection of my grandfather, Albert F. Balla, who was in direct correspondence with Dr. Hall, and a major stamp and Christmas Seal collector. The colors are very bright. As you can see in the photos, there are a couple of losses to the paper on the edge. As well, there have been a number of careful mendings of small tears. The poster must have been rolled and flattened or folded at some point, as there are creases that are plainly visible in the photos. I am very sure that skillful repairs to the paper and losses would be fairly easy and inexpensive to have done, which would make it look incredible. Even as is, it is a beautiful image. The cost of shipping is a bit more considering its larger size and value. I will have to charge $45.00 to ship it to Korea. Other destinations will vary.
