1936년 연날리기 씰 셋

This is one of a number of final lots that I am offering for sale. All of these items come from my grandfather’s (Albert F. Balla) collection. He was a major collector of stamps and Christmas seals, and a correspondent to Dr. Rosetta Sherwood Hall - the woman who really instituted the Hospitals and institutions in Korea for the blind, handicapped, and infirmed, including tuberculosis. This lot includes a hand written inscription in the card from Rosetta Hall. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire this piece of history. The imagery is of Kite Flying, and the painting is by Elizabeth Keith. Also included is a 1934-35 card depicting the kite flying scene. In addition, a fund raising letter written by Sherwood Hall from Haiju in 1936 is included. It is folded, but in excellent condition. Please note, the two seals that are imperforate, as well as the single seal, were cut, and carefully put back together. You may wish to consider them only for decorative purposes. Please contact me with any questions, or to see more photos. Condition is good, details can be seen in photos, or ask for more images. Shipping to Korea will be $25.00. Please make sure you ask any questions, or if you would like further photos. I am listing other really interesting Korean Christmas Seal related items now as well. Please check out my other listings.
